Egypt (taster)

Friday, December 29th, 2006

What can I say about a civilization that is so old. It is mind boggling that they could produce the temples and tombs that they did. Even more so when you hear some of the time scales. It is more than probarble that the tomb of Cheops (The Great Pyramid), was build in about 27 years. (It would take that long to get planning permission?Ǭ† these days!!!)

Over the next few days I hope to describe my feelings of each of the Temples and Tombs as we vistied them, starting with Kalabcha and finishing with Dendera. As I do so I hope to create a set of albums, one for each temple (or sets of temples when it comes to the temples on the lake)

Two weeks to go

Monday, November 27th, 2006

You would have thought that by now we would have been ready, and even if we were not we have 2 weekends to go. Unfortunately you would have been wrong on both counts. We have the suit cases, but no money, and still not sure what to put in the cases.

The next two week ends are booked solid so it will be panic every night for 2 weeks.
Diet has gone to hell in a handbag, not sure how I managed it so well last time. Looks like my pictures will have to be landscapes again this holiday.
