This wine was recomended to us by one of the assistants at Magestic (given what he had seen of our purchase). As you might expect if you have read most of the wines I have drunk this was a dark wine. It is a combination of Grenache (20%), Syrah (40%) and Mourvedre (40%). As I have stated this was a dark wine. There was a strong smell of fruit on the nose, mosly cherries. It did not seem heavy on the alcohol, but it was quite tannic, leaving a strong effect on the sides of the mouth. There was also an odd fizz on the front of the tounge. It was lighted than I was expecting and both sweet and sharp. All in all not a bd wine, but also nothiong to write home about.
